Weather Forecast Update for Memorial Holiday Weekend

Areas east of me got pounded by storms last night and there were some to our west, but nothing here. The pine pollen is awful right now. Yuk, everything is yellow and you can taste it outside. We could use just a little rain to wash the pollen off everything, but just a little. Anyhow, further rain chances aren’t good until possibly Monday afternoon or maybe Tuesday. There is a slight chance for showers or storms today as a back-door cold front passes to the southwest. There is a greater chance for storms to our south and west today in the Mohawk Valley and Catskills. Flying weather should be good for Friday and early Saturday. Another weak front or surface trof is forecast to pass through the region in the Northwest flow aloft on Saturday afternoon. There is a slight chance of rain or storms with this front. Depending on the timing of this weak frontal passage, it may effect flying conditions for Saturday afternoon’s ride. Flying weather should improve for Sunday and early Monday before another system begins to influence our weather toward the end of the Memorial Holiday Weekend.
