Columbus Weekend Flights and Weather for Last Week of Flying

After getting near 10 inches of rain over last couple of weeks, we are finally getting a short dry period to get some flights accomplished. It was nice to see the sun and get the opportunity to check-out the fall foliage. On Sunday morning, I flew a local couple that had been rescheduled a couple of times this year and finally got mission accomplished. We managed to fly Jaclyn over her parents home in Adamsville and landed on her brother-in-law’s farm on County Rt 17.

Darn late afternoon sun angle makes picture taking difficult with a point/shoot digital camera.

The flying weather will remain good for Tuesday and Wednesday, and maybe again on Thursday morning before our next rain event moves into our area. It has the potential to become a nor’easter, which may bring an end to the flying season for this year.
