May 8 Hot Air Balloon Ride and Proposal

Sunday, May 8th, 2011

On this morning’s flight, David proposed to Andrea and she said yes! It was a wonderful morning to be up in the early morning light. Skies were a bit hazy from the previous days rain, but still was very nice. Looking forward to so dry conditions for next couple of days and flying some. The flight area could really use a dry spell to dry-out some. The fields are very wet right now, and I know our farmer friends must be getting anxious about being able to work in their fields.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Flying Weather for Weekend and early next Week

Friday, May 6th, 2011

The forecast Sunday and early next week looks promising for getting some flights-in, and some good drying out in the flight area-we really could use some of both. I have space available on most flights, so call if you are interested. Everything is just starting to blossom out in the flight area, providing a giant Impressionist landscape painting for your personal viewing from on high.

Cinco de Mayo

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Today being Cinco de Mayo, wifey and I went to Raul’s Mexican Grill in downtown Glens Falls tonight. The weather around here is still kinda crappy, with lots of high water and flooding (the Hudson River is still at flood stage–check-out the video I took of the water coming over the Glens Falls dam last Saturday on my facebook page April 30th post). But, Cinco de Mayo was a good excuse to go get some good grub at our fav Mexican restaurant. We’ve never had a bad meal at this little eatery.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Flying Weather for the First Week of May

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

The forecast for this week isn’t the best, again. Hopefully it won’t rain as hard as last week and we catch a break toward the weekend. Check back later in the week for a weather update on flying conditions. We will be on hold until then for doing any flights.

May Day Balloon Ride

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

The weather was really nice this past weekend, a stark contrast to the weather we had gotten during the past week. We flew a couple from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, John and Sarah, on a really beautiful Sunday morning, the 1st of May.
