Hot Air Balloon Ride Flying Weather for the Week of 7/19

Monday, July 19th, 2010

The forecast for the week has rain about every other day. We start out with a series of fronts moving through on Monday with periods of rain and storms. Tuesday looks to be mostly rain free, before another system moves though for the overnight into part of Wednesday. Thursday, and early Friday, currently look good before another system approaches for late in the day on Friday, or the overnight into Saturday, which may be stormy. Sunday currently is advertised to be the better day of the coming weekend. The weather bureau is issuing forecasts for the week with what they call low confidence, because the computer models that are used for forecasting the weather are not in agreement on the timing, or the amount of rain, with the fast flow systems. What this all means is, the weather forecast will change daily through the week as the weather pattern sorts itself out.

A weak cool front will approach from the east this afternoon, triggering isolated thunderstorms. A stronger cold front will approach from the West Friday night into Saturday, preceded and accompanied by showers and thunderstorms. Cooler and less humid conditions follow for Saturday night and Sunday.
