Recent Hot Air Balloon Rides and Weather Forecast

Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013

We just had a very nice patch of weather at the end of September for doing some early fall foliage hot air balloon rides in our beautiful Adirondacks/Lake George/Albany-The Capital District region.

The weekend flights started on Saturday evening with a group of friends, Jeff and Maureen from Aberdeen NJ and Rose and Michael from Brooklyn NY.

I wish that the weather forecast for the coming weekend for our Adirondack, Lake George Region was as nice as it was for the last 10 days or so, but, it looks like it will be a bit of a challenge to get many flights in thru early next week. There still is a lot of time left to enjoy our fall foliage flights, so get your reservation in before the season ends. Call me @ 518-793-6342

Argyle Elementary School Tether Day

Wednesday, September 18th, 2013

Yesterday and today were tether demo days for the Hartford and Argyle Elementary Schools. Baker and I have been doing these for a long time, during the week of the Adirondack Balloon Festival. We thoroughly enjoy bringing our balloon to the elementary school kids so they can see one up-close, and the smiles on all the kiddies faces.

There was a lot of fog down in the valley on the drive over, but Argyle had beautiful blue skies and calm winds for our demo for the elementary kiddies.

Recent flights have been a bit spotty as of late due to the weather. On Saturday morning the 1st, I flew a mixed group, a couple from Astoria, and a customer from Scotia on a gift balloon ride.

Now for the weather forecast portion of this post for the Adirondacks, Lake George, Saratoga Springs, Albany – The Capital District, and the outlook for doing any hot air balloon rides this weekend. In 2 words, not good. Right now, the weather looks rather damp right through the next week of June, according to the 6 to 14 day outlook forecast by the Climate Prediction Center.

Recent Hot Air Balloon Ride

Sunday, May 19th, 2013

Saturday was a beautiful day for going on an Adirondack hot air balloon ride. On my Saturday PM balloon flight, I had a proposal by a young couple from the Hamilton, Ontario Canada area.

The question?

On goes the ring.

Argyle Balloon Demo Day

Tuesday, September 11th, 2012

This morning was beautiful for our annual balloon demo day for the Argyle CS Elementary kiddies. Baker and I travel to a few of the rural schools every year and bring our hot air balloon for a complementary tether for the Elementary schools in the fall, close to the big Adirondack Balloon Festival. Many of these kids never get a chance to get up close to a hot air balloon, so we bring the balloon to them.

The flying weather is great this week, so if you want to fly, give me a call @ 518-793-6342.
